One of many bits that did not make it into the book was the impulse lever. It has elements of both the hinged launcher and impulse launcher. The design was originally created by 0rjan in his contest solution "ARFC_A_VI_EsseluktII.OrjanF-5678-Patheticon.lvl", and later optimized by Dudiobugtron in his contest solution "ARFC_A_XII_BOOM_II.dudiobugtron-Patheticon_optimised.lvl" (shown below):
The overall cost of such a launcher is drastically lower than rubber with tension. It reminds me of circus acrobats jumping up and down on seesaw platforms.

Hello
For about one year I have been working on a book about Armadillo Run. It was kind of a vision. Year after year I have noticed computer game books for sale, typically about games I was not interested in. I thought this game really deserved something to be written about it. Why not make a book about an indie game, a game that I was interested in? Well it soon will be here, as I hope to have a 54 page color book for sale in 2-3 weeks. Who knows, maybe this kind of book might lead me to paying projects in the future.

For anyone in the chess blogosphere wondering where I have gone, well now you know =). Honestly work, school, and medical problems own most of my free time, and for awhile I have had nothing new to say about chess.
